Inga Sempé

Inga Sempé (b. 1968) is a French designer. She opened her industrial design studio in Paris. Her design focuses on everyday domestic objects and their industrial production.

She started collaborating with italian Cappellini and Edra. And then with many Scandinavian, Italian and French companies, among them Ligne Roset, Wästberg, Kvadrat, Hay, Magis, Alessi, Mutina, Iittala, Svenskt Tenn, Nanimarquina, Revol.

In recent years, she has had several personal exhibitions, like the Triennale Museum of Design in Milano. She will have a big solo show at the Philadelphia Museum of Art starting November 2026 for 10 months.

The Carte Postale collection, consisting of six different throws was her first for Danish Elvang. The collection has been extended with 12 different cushions in recycled alpaca wool. One of the throws (colour blue-pink) has been chosen by MoMA.
