At Elvang Denmark, our shawls and scarves are produced in soft alpaca wool. The alpaca wool produces virtually no fluff, feels soft against the skin and is incredibly pleasant to wear. Many people prefer mufflers, shawls and scarves in alpaca wool rather than ordinary wool, as it doesn’t scratch and feels softer against the skin. There are also many who prefer to have a shawl or large muffler around their shoulders on a warm autumn day or summer evening. There is no need for it to be wrapped in a tight knot or loop, as it can simply be hung over the shoulders.

Our small neck and hair scarves are produced from alpaca wool and silk. This is to make the scarves extra soft and exquisite.

It’s of vital importance to us that we are fair trade-certified and provide sustainable products. Our throws are woven in soft, recyclable alpaca and sheep wool. Elvang Denmark is fair trade certified at the highest level by the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), which guarantees our customers that our entire value chain is examined and meets the requirements for fair trade - both at our company in Denmark and at our suppliers in Peru. Our sustainable throws and cushions are also available in organic cotton, which is sustainably produced in Portugal at a GOTS certified factory. GOTS stands for “Global Organic Textile Standard”. This guarantees that our throws are produced in accordance with environmental and responsible standards. All of our alpaca products and organic cotton throws and cushions are produced in accordance with environmental and responsible standards. They contain no harmful chemicals and are hypo-allergenic.
