Our cushions are made from sustainably produced alpaca wool and organic cotton. They come in different sizes, designs and colours and are designed to be combined with our throws. The alpaca wool cushions have minimal fluffing, making them ideal for everyday use, and the cotton cushions are easy to wash and have a long lifespan.

Elvang is fair trade certified at the highest level by the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) and as a member of the UN Global Compact - the world's largest corporate social responsibility network - we only work with producers who follow a comprehensive CSR programme. This is your guarantee that our alpaca wool products are produced under decent conditions for the environment, people and animals. 

Alpaca wool is widely considered a sustainable choice. This is not only due to the properties and quality of the wool itself, which gives it a long lifespan, but also the way of life of the animals in the country of origin. Because alpacas live free in the wild and often in mountain areas that cannot be cultivated, they are part of nature's cycle in the same way as other free-ranging animals.

At Elvang, we only use cotton certified under GOTS - the most widely used labelling scheme for organic cotton textiles. This means that the fibres are not treated with pesticides and insecticides, and the finished product is guaranteed to be free of fluoride. In addition, GOTS certification sets requirements for social conditions and, of course, no child labour is used. Cotton products are always produced in GOTS-certified factories in Portugal.
